Which of these tires should I get?

I want to get just a summer tire. I want to like the tread but most of all get a good tire. 195-55-15 Thanks for your replies.

I have a buddy with Falken's, and he likes them. Presuming you have resolved any fitment issues, I'd say this is a good choice.

I do the the tread pattern of the S Drives. What do you mean fitment issues? I purchased the 15's Rotas from Socal Mark. They should just be fine I thought. I am putting on IAP's performance springs. Let me know and thanks for your reply

I was going to put the 195/55/15 Yokohama's on my car. I have the Rota 15's from Mark along with the IAP performance springs. My tire guy "third generation" is a friend of mine and he recommended the Dunlap Direzza Dz101 over the Yokohama. I would post a picture here but I have it on my desktop on another computer. I highly recommend the Yokohama S drive. But it's not omnidirectional. The only way to "rotate" them is to switch rims, which I have done. I use them on the Porsche - about 80% track days - and they're pretty sticky, wet or dry. Because of my application, I only get about 12,000 km out of the rears and 20,000 on the fronts, but at the low price of CAD $140, I'm happy. For street driving, you would get a lot more wear.

Bob, those are nice too. I like the tread. But they are 50-15's. I was told the 55's were closer to the original tire size.

Brady - because they're unidirectional, once mounted on the rim each tire can only go one one side of the car. I apologize for confusing you - on my Porsche, the front and rear tires are different sizes. So I can't swap them front to rear. But you could on the Spider, since all four would be the same size. My rear tires wear uniformly, so when they're gone, they're gone. But the fronts wear out first on the outside shoulder, so to prolong their lives I swap them left to right, by removing them from the rims. You needn't worry about this, unless you drive really hard - a lot.

It's not too bad - one set per season. If they were R compounds I'd be using them up faster than that and they'd cost more.

I run skinny 13" tires, and don't have any knowledge of how wide a tire will fit on your car. Mark would, and I'm sure he's given you advice on tire sizes.

I stand corrected on the S-Drive tread pattern. Upon closer inspection, they do appear to be unidirectional, so you can only swap them front-to-back on the same side(s) of the car. I generally try to avoid this type of tread pattern, but most high performance tires seem to be heading (or rather, rotating in this direction).

Brady,the tires will fit fine.I am running 205/50x15 w/ lowered springs with no issues.I have found the tirerack testing to be a big help w/ performance tires.I went with the Kumhos but the Yokos are always at or near the top of the list.kmac33 has a set of General UHP's that look awesome on the Rota wheels.
