Washer Bag Vs. Washer Bottle

Gonna be replacing my washer bag as it certainly seen some better days. Has a small hole or two which the PO patched up with silicone caulking but still leaks, most likely when the engine bay gets hot.

I like the bag type because it's kind of unique as when I show my friends my car they always wonder what it is?LOL.

My question: Do you guys/gals prefer the original bag type or do you think the bottle type is more durable? Will a later model washer bottle fit in my '79 or should I just get one of those generic type bottles? THx.

Not every year later model (Spider 2000s) had the same bottle on them. The bottles were similar, but the mounting points changed. I bought one off a 1981 and it didn't fit the mounting on my 82. So if you go with a later bottle you'll also need to get the matching mount brackets.

I probalby have an extra bag but you'll have to email me at spyderlady71@yahoo.com cuz I don't get to visit as much as I like. I prefer the washer bag because they have their own little hanging place and they work just as well as a bottle. Do you have the bag with the motor or the bag without?

my bag is still good, and as far as i can tell it is original.
