injector cleaning

Post by narfire »

A few days ago I saw a post regarding a company in WA that cleans and checks the injectors. I was going to box the spares I had and get them checked over. I asked a fellow at the local Lordco store if anyone local does the same thing.... Yeup a fellow retired from Vancouver and moved to Summerland and has all the equipment to do the test. Gave him 6 injectors and for $25 each he cleaned, they were dirty, evidently there is a filter/screen inside,he changed those and replaced any tips that were cracked. tested flow ect. One was pooched and the other 5 in great shape now he said.he replaced the seals as well.I'm going to make up another rail and swap in my 80
If any canucks wanted to use the sevice PM me and I'll pass on the phone number. This is not to keep the work in Can. but shipping and any fees the ups or post charges when sending to the states can make a small package expensive. The fellow in WA I think was charging $20/injector.

that's about the going rate. Before anyone ships injectors around the world for cleaning, check out local resources. It's not hard to find shops with cleaning and testing equipment
