Timing Belt Change

Post by courtenay »

Big thanks to Spider Jim for the able assistance - and Jamie's great pics! Changed my timing belt, water pump and rad hoses today without too much of a screw up. Managed to plug the fan/sensor wires in wrong and think I blew some fuses, but hey - for a first time out, not too bad!! The car starts and runs - and once I replace the blown fuse(s) I can get it back on the road.

Keep the car at 100 kms/hr, you don't need the fan

Isn't it a satisfying feeling to know you tackled that job yourself and came out of it alive? Good going!
