Need help with brake pedal
I just replaced the brake booster and im to the point of reattaching the spring to the brake petal. I have been trying for two days and nothing i have also been looking through the forum and nothing. Are there any tricks to getting the spring back into the petal?

Re: Need help with brake pedal
If it is like the big one for the clutch (same spring?) you ficure out a way to strech it out on a bench and you take a whole bunch of coins (can't remeber the size but large enough to stay between the coils) and you insert them all between the spring coils. This keeps the spring expanded once you releive the tension so that you can get it back on the pedal. Once it is on you depress the pedal and, voila, pick up your change and move on to the next task. Just make sure you work the pedal enough times to get all the coins out.
Hope this is the right spring we are talking about and this helps. I think if you search under "coin trick" you might even find pictures. I think it is is threads about replacing the clutch cable.

Wow Thanks! We eventually just grabbed it with some needle nose vise grips and fought it on. I'll definitely keep the coin trick in mind.
