Re: Rook's Rolling Restoration
I didnt think of it until I was in it and I had already ordered the parts. I have an 1800 I am considering rebuilding and putting in so I should be fine for a while. Hopefully.

Re: Rook's Rolling Restoration
the 1608 is in my opinion a way better engine than a 1800. granted there are those whom say "there is no substatute for cubic inches" but in stock form you should be much happyer with a 1608.

Re: Rook's Rolling Restoration
Did you paint the sills/bottom half of the rear fenders black? or was it a P.O.? I really dig the look.
Re: Rook's Rolling Restoration
It was the previous owner. I am undecided on the look. When I paint it I am going to go all one color and if I dont like it I will paint them black again. He also did the rear valence which is where I am not sure bout the look.

Today's progress.
Passed emissions, put in new windshield and gave her a bath.
Oh, I removed the goofy second grill emblem.

Is the yellow on your car the original color? Which color code is it? Sorry but you're only one of 3 yellow spiders I've ever seen haha(one is my own) also, what color are you going to repaint it?

Re: Rook's Rolling Restoration
Nice car! That is close to the original and future color of mine.
Re: Rook's Rolling Restoration
Early Spider owners.
On the marker/signal lights. Which is supposed to be the signal, amber or clear?
Mine is set up as the amber as marker clear as signal, but I think that is wrong.

Re: Rook's Rolling Restoration
It's marker clear, signal amber.
Actually I prefer the clear-clear version. I'm using a amber bulb for the signal.
ciao,
Stefan
