On the road again
On the road again
Finally have my 81 restored and on the road. Except for a couple of emblems that I have made but not installed as yet due to packing them away for my move back to the desert from BC. Finally have my interior in place with the last bit being my custom made top boot cover. So here she is.

Re: On the road again
Having seen Jim's car up close and personal, I can attest to the great job. Jim's custom touches on the dash and console are great improvements over the original design yet do not look out of place.
While I wish Jim and Anita well with their move to the desert - I'm sure going to miss having him so close when I need help with my car.

Thanks for the Fantastic!! The dash matt came with the car and was the only thing that was worth keeping. I do believe that you can order these from Auto Zone? I got one for my truck and they have a large list of vehicles.Foster48x wrote:Fan-friggin-tastic work Jim!

I know I do and I feel so bad about that. So the only recourse is for you and the misses to come visit and if you do I'll give you two pints!!.... Laugh. At least being back in Nevada I can finally get a black widow or baby tarantula for my gear shifter knob.narfire wrote:Jim that looks fantastic. The interior looks great, dash ect.

I like the ribbing on that top cover, great work. I thought you were going to paint those wheel wells black?

Re: On the road again
Jim, very, very beautiful. Love the cream door panels with the black armrests... and the inset wood, matching the wood on the dash... Not sure who leaked my idea to you, but... Well Done!
I have some leather seats enroute, plus some beautiful lambskin on the way to me from Italy, and I'll start my door panels, and the armrest... but now I have to ensure it matches to the (very high!!) bar you've set!!
Good luck in the south, SPF 30 suggested... for the car leathers!

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, we have decided to turn off the light at the end of the tunnel. We apologize for any inconvenience.
