Almost there with restorations

Folks, I sent out a hello back in May after working on the spider for a couple months. This weekend I finished the Stereo install and made a custom Bike Rack to show off the FIAT when in local bicycle events. It was nice to have so many questions about the car at a bicycle event on Monday in San Antonio. The comments were pretty funny as you can imagine but mostly centered around why I do not have an Italian Road bike on the back. At this point all electrical works like new even the horn. She is clean inside and out! Almost all signs of rust treated.. I still have some touch up work around the brake disc shields/covers. All basic maint done (oil/wires/pugs/timing, other belts) many new small items like hazard switch, windshiled washer motor and fluid container, air filter (building a heat shield), and a lot of wirtes and elbow grease. Attached are some pics. The red car is the 83 Spider I sold years ago after restoring.

Done for the season, next I'll consider new wheels.

Here's your answer to their question. "If I could afford a Colnago, I wouldn't be driving a Fiat!".

Nice looking bike, nice looking car. I'm not too sure about the mount, however. I don't think the luggage rack was designed to take the twisting forces the bicycle produces. With those big Federal bumpers, could you attach a fork quick release on one side and a tire channel on the other, mounting the bike sideways? Maybe a prop from the Fiat rack to the top tube?

Hey Ray nice looking car. I think I would consider putting a trailer hitch on the car with one of those removable setups for a bicycle.
