Nope... Just less than the seats and old boards that don't hold their shape.wachuko wrote:5/8" !! What about weight? That must weight a ton!
Good point Mark. I made the bench somewhat higher than most and it gives lots of access. The hump actually shallows out more than I thought it would under the bench. Regards weight issues. No difference than the original parts. I only used 40% of one sheet that weighs 80 Lb for the entire sheet. One would think it would be heavier but it is not.So Cal Mark wrote:it looks good, but in the back seat area with the hump under the lid, will the side areas be accessible or usable? Wouldn't two lids, one on either side of the hump be better?
Thanks... I did the whole thing by eye which is what I normally do when faced with weird curves and changes. Took about three hours start to finish excluding the finish covering. I also lined the inner trunk lid with vinyl using self adhesive velcro to hide the luggage rack screws.azygoustoyou wrote:I've seen a car with one lid in the back seat area. There was plenty of room to access both sides. Looks good Jim. How long did it take you to figure out the patterns?
