Had my car for a couple of weeks. Been fixing things up here and there. Ran great than rough idle and engine died when put in reverse or drive. Did a search for rough idle. Followed the posts and saw a reply from Mark about the intake housing. Checked it out. In my fixing I hadn't gotten the hose clamped well enough to the housing when I changed the air cleaner. It had separated. Reconnected it and made sure it was on properly and the clamp tightened. Now she idles and runs smooth.
This site just turned a trouble shooting nightmare into a valuable learning experience.
