Take a look at the first shot, it shows before I cut off the stud...then take a look at the second....

lo and behold the early style slots are there...now I have a spot to mount to for the rotisserie...

The front stud that was left was easily broken off with a bfh as they were both brazed on instead of welded.
I discover with careful examination the the front frame entrance is not hollow so no need to cut out the ends on the front. I will have to mount the rotisserie by the attaching where the cross-member does.
