FIAT CRASH::TTL LOSS::Repair Pics
As some of you know my '77 was totalled in Dec. Her insurance paid me off and I decided to get 'er fixed.
After a few interviews with prospective repair shops, I decided to go with SELECT AUTO BODY in Pomona [right down the street from SoCalMarks shop..))]. Actually, the black spider at Marks was painted by Select so at least I had that level of trust.
Photos so far:

So far George at select has been very confidence instilling. He is a gentleman,knowledgeble and takes all the time you need to answer any questions. This was good for me as this is the first time I've ever painted/repaired an entire car. He has been doing this for 50 years.

Looks good so far.
Its sad that a relatively small accident is grounds for totaling a classic car. From the looks of things none of the actual structure was affected by the accident beyond the local area. DId they have to do a pull on the frame rail where the cross member attaches?
Looking forward to seeing the end results. Congrats on keeping it on the road.

Tom,
Looking good. Kinda like getting a new car all over again.
Can't wait to see it finished.

I just wrecked mine with almost the same damage but on left side, from a dog last night. Wondering about repair or replace. Can you tell me what this is costing you to have it done. Thanks Brian

Re: FIAT CRASH::TTL LOSS::Repair Pics
Brian, I don't think your damage is nearly as extensive as Tom's car. His unibody was bent all of the way back to the crossmember. He also had some previous damage in the rear corner repaired

Re: FIAT CRASH::TTL LOSS::Repair Pics
Well then I would agree as it does not appear any movement or damage to the frame part at all. Just didnt need to deal with all this right now. Ill see about getting some estimates maybe in the next several weeks.

I don't think there is ever a good time for a crash
