Had Jon at midwest 124 Purchase a long block and larger pistons last week as the beginning point for my restoration.
Plan to upgrade anything and everything to make this car go as quick as possible.
Because my car runs so poorly, have not driven it more than a mile since I purchased it from Spence.
Will not have the opportunity of a true before and after from stock to upgrade.
Has anyone else done the same to give an idea of the difference ?
A what to expect after we get this car back on the road?
Not sure if I should just go-ahead and replace all of the suspension related parts now or wait ton see how it drives.
Are there any items that are best replaced before the engine is reinstalled be sided mounts and bushings?

No harm in replacing the bushings, and shocks to start. Check the ball joints and tie rod ends as well. Steering box and damper as well. I don't believe its a real big hit($$),but I'm sure you'll like the positive change and the car does feel "tighter" and more responsive. I can't imagine having a car with a great engine and then have it kinda float around on the road. Yes change out the mounts as well.
I don't know about the bigger front sway bar and adding a rear,as I'm still stock there, but others have made the change and like it.
Brakes still good? I made sure they were in good shape before swapping my engine with one with more power... gotta be able to stop.

An upgraded engine will likely make the smile just that much bigger
