I'm seriously considering these as well. From what I understand the seat rails from the spider will bolt right up on these seats.
If you visit the Mira forum, Pierre has used these in the past and feels they are an easy swap.
They look close to period correct and will absolutely hold you in place better than the OEM.

Several Spiders at the Mirafiori campout had them and they were the best fitting and looking aftermarket seats that I have seen in a Spider. Summit Racing sells them.
Thanks, Trey. I checked the Summit website and the Rally seats are about $322.00 each plus shipping. It would be nice to get some first hand comments on how easy they were to fit into the Spider.

Those look like nice seats. Beats trying to stuff a seat from another car in that sits too high or is too wide. Would be nice to see some pictures of them in a Fiat.
I'm considering these as well. The smooth top (80-1000-51RS) seats look nearly identical to my '72 seats. Are you suggesting that these will bolt in without the adapters? That makes them an even better deal compared to the cost of new covers. They are available in leather and about 5 different colors. The adapters are not cheap if needed.
My stock seat width measures about 20.25", so they will fit proud about 0.875" on each side. The Corbeau Sport Seat or GTS II are narrower at 20.5" and 21" respectively. The Corbeau are a more contemporary style and a little heavier on the wallet. They would look nice in a '79-'85 in leather. I'm looking forward to seeing a few pics with these seats installed and installation tips.
Mark, if you can wholesale these and sell them at a good price it sounds like you have a market. I just about pulled the trigger over Christmas on a pair of these (black vinyl smooth top) for $321 each and free shipping from an online parts supply (online auto warehouse or something).
