Trying to stop oil leaks

FYI -- I thought I would have to do a complete rebuild to stop the various leaks I had.

I also had the weeping of oil around the dipstick. Occasionally, the dipstick would even rise up in the tube during a drive, oil spraying all over the place.

Cleaning the vapor/oil separator cured every one of them. It's a pain to get to with the intake manifold installed, but it needs to stay clean or the crankcase pressurizes and oil comes out everywhere.

Thanks for all the info guys! I have several leaks myself one of which is the dipstick. AND since my dipstick doesn't read correctly (when the oil is at the correct amount it doesn't even show on the dipstick) maybe this is the source of the problem. I think I will give fixing it it a go when I have the radiator out and such this weekend replacing the timing belt. Anyone have further thoughts on this one? I know I'll need a can of brakecleen just to get that area cleaned up!
