I did 2 coats of POR 15 in the footwells & under the seats & used like a little over 1/2 the quart.
I did not do the area under the rear seat or the tranny hump but there should be plenty to do everything with 1 quart.
I brushed it on thick too.

I put the "Protecto Wrap" from Home Depot over it to seal everything up, then a jute type padding & then the carpet.
Look back a few pages in this post & I have it all explained.

That's right! Got you confused with another post. Excellent. Looking forward to doing my interior after I get my rubby gunk off.

I stopped by Don's garage last Saturday just to catch a glimps of his front suspension project and to give oral support. Everything Don does to his Spider is meticulously occomplished, well researched, and planned. He never gets lazy and takes the easy way out. He cleans and paints and takes the extra steps to make sure his results are to the best of his abilities. He loves his Fiat.

Good Guy!

I hit a landmark today.

Bought the car at (1)19345 miles
Turned (1)20000 today! on the road less than a month, 655 miles so far

Image

Best part of those miles is I have driven it everyday & we havn't had one drop of rain.
Never driven it with the top up yet.
Oh & I only work less than a mile from my house so those have all been pleasure miles!

Is that stock wood around the gauges?

Speaking of gauges, how does one get the clock out? I need to replace the clouded plastic face. I released all the little knurled fasteners which hold the dash wood on, but there's a jumble of wires back there (obviously) and I haven't dared pull it out any further for fear of something dropping off or disconnecting inside or some other thing that ALWAYS happens when I go in over my head!

here is the beauty of italian cars. the entire cluster is modular. each gage plugs into a harness that plugs into the main wiring harness. each gage can be removed independently or the entire cluster can be removed as one piece. pull it out slowly until you find the clock plug. each gage is removed with kurled nuts that hold it to the back of the wood. tight spaces but can be performed without dropping the column. just remove the plastic column covers.

Great, thanks. One more dumb question, though. Do the knurled nuts release it from within to be pushed out forward? :?:

Removed the upper (radio) and lower consoles this afternoon. I probably did it wrong because I can't see how the heck I'm going to get the new ones in. Not so much the upper, but the lower. I had a heck of a time yanking it out. Maybe I was supposed to take the e-brake handle off first? Also, the metal plate under the wood veneer (shifter deck area), I assume I need to keep that as the new one doesn't appear to come with it?

Thanks!

Yes the gauges come out toward the front.
