Short Circut

Had alternator rebuilt & put in new battery but something keeps killng the battery. When I put the cables on the battery, there is a spark even though everything is turned off.

HELP!

Had this happen to me. Hook up a volt meter between the neg battery post and the negative cable, Take a look at the voltage reading. Now remove one fuse at a time until the voltage reading changes. Consult your owner manual which specify which fuse is for what. This will help you find the faulty circuit.

My problem turned out to be a badly wired relay.
