Hi all,
I got some grommets which are in two pieces, going to try to have my son take a pic so we can post. These are the replacements for around the door release handle in the door panel on my '76.
I have no clue how to install these, it almost looks like they should be pressed together....but I don't want to go bending them unless I'm sure.
One side is just a disc with "teeth" on the inner side. the other side is a disc with a raised portion which fits perfectly inside the previously described part. It appears one should go on each side of the panel, and I'm assuming the teeth grip the material on the panel facing the inside of the car....but it's just a guess.....
Any ideas or clues would be MUCH appreciated!!
Thanks,
Peter.

Re: Door Grommet's DIY door panels
Put one on either side of the panel so the front one is sticking through the hole in the back one. On the back of the panel roll the inner edge of the front one that's sticking though the back around the back one to lock it in. I think I used a small ball pin hammer to roll the edge around on mine.
Hope that helps.
Rick
