Engine Bay Gallery! Please add your own!

Post by blurple124 »

Hi everyone!
I am just starting to get to the point of painting and cleaning up my engine compartment, and I thought it would be cool to start a thread of photos to see what people have accomplished/started with for their cars.

So if you would like to show off your hard work in cleaning up your engine compartment or have done some creative things with it, by all means share!

I will start the bar low by posting a picture of where mine will be starting, and I hope to share with you the final results this summer!

some people take them off some put them on.
wheres your pics?
my girlfriend had a cat under her hood 2 years ago it went like this
she cranked it to go to work and thump thump raowww raowww hiss hiss
so she came and got me.i poped the hood and raowww hiss.
boy that cat was pissed and traped under the belt on her chevy
it wiggled and pulled its self free and bolted away.
no blood,so what do you do?....

if it rips it could dent the hood or cause some damage
but my cover is the only yellow thing under the hood
i leave it on but would like a grey one

back to the pics

I think if the belt rips the hood is the least of your problems :).

Heres mine when I got it last spring. All I have done to the engine so far is lunch-box air cleaner, points, cap & plugs.

Image

I have purchased a 4-2-1 exhaust & am planning on adding 32/36 DFEV & elect. ing. in the spring, along with refreshing all the hoses & belts.
Then its clean...clean...polish...clean!

I know this is not my Spider but heres what I did last spring to my 78 Ford Courier engine compartment.
