Cowl Removal

Post by davery »

In my prep for painting the car, I am getting ready to remove the cowl. Any secrets for an 85? Thanks.

Pretty straighforward job. If you have some two inch wide painters tape it may be a good idea to put it in the seam between the cowl and the fender. This way you will avoid scratching paint taking it out and putting it in. Remove screws and rubber and pull forward.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

get yourself a couple of towels. one for each fender. when you pull it out, you slide the towel underneath each side. you have to lift the PS in order to unplug the wipers. Along with the tape you can save your paint.
