Always a good idea to have a full tank of gas when snow is or maybe on the ground. Sold the snow blower, tractor, snow shovels and a host of other stuff when I moved to Texas. At times, for a brief minute or two, I miss the cold. For Example, The Eagles/Detroit game in Philly this past Sunday was absolutley awesome!!! Best NFL climate game in a long while. It is supposed to be cold at Christmas tme.
On the other side of that coin we have more 100+ degree days in Texas. Many spider owners do not have AC because of the HP draw and limited effectiveness. Our cooling systems need to be 100%, 100% of the time. Driving the Spider in the summer can amount to a test in endurance as it is obligatory to drive with the top down no matter how hot or sunny. Fall in Texas and many westerrn states is non-existent. We do not get those cool fall covered bridge tours like int he PA/NJ area driving along the Delaware river with rolling hills and narrow roads near historic colonial areas such as Washingtons crossing. We do have very nice Texas hill country tours that I greatly enjoy. However, the fall tour in the hills of PA and NJ is really at the top of my Spider driving list having done both.
The banter about weather is fun. I'm not looking to move back were it is cold. However, I do miss it at times. The talk about Washingtons Crossing reminds me of Americas original bad ass. George Washington took a group of starving volunteers across an icy Delaware River, up a steep hill, on a several mile trek under cover of night to just outside Trenton where he and his men slay the drunken Hessians in thier sleep on Christmas eve.
Merry Christmas and lets never forget this is a great country no matter where you live.
