What does this brake compensator by pass hose do? :?:

eliminates the brake compensator from the system, allowing full pressure to the rear calipers whenever you're braking

Mark, can you tell me more about this. Does it replace the compensator that is above the rear axle? Is it a good thing? Is it worth removing and installing the hose. I sounds to me like you are taking the compensator out and allowing full brake pressure to the back brakes? Is there good and bad about this? Isnt the front brakes suppost to do 60 to 70% of the braking? Does this alter this ratio?

it does eliminate the compensator above the rear axle. The theory of the compensator is to reduce pressure to the rear brakes as the nose dives under hard braking. That will eliminate the rears locking up since they are un-weighted. I started offering the hose for customers that didn't want to repair failed compensators or were using the car in competition and wanted more braking. With either lowered suspension or stiffer suspension the rear lock up hasn't been an issue. In fact, I haven't heard of anyone, even with a stock street car, that has had lockup trouble with the compensator bypassed
