There is a certain slant of light in the Fall that makes the Outer Cape so beautiful, pastel coloring, and for me, no better way to see it than a 200 mile round trip in the Spider to the Cape Cod Classics Car Club event in Eastham yesterday. The Spider performed very well, and they are remarkably reliable cars once they are well sorted out. Beryl and I went and met our wonderful friends Sue Oliver Messina and Paul Messina, who own an absolutely fantastic '56 Corvette, completely restored. (Midge, the '47 MG TC they own, is in service at the moment, so I have no pics for you of her). Just a lovely day with great weather and good friends! Beryl is enjoying learning about cars ("opera windows" on the T-Bird were explained today), and I thoroughly enjoy her and our friend's companionship while the family goes through these difficult times. <:^)
