Hi,
So after the rear stabilizer broke I had a fun ride home. The best part was when I hit the brakes, they were gone. The rear passenger side brake line was compromised on the shakey ride home. No huge deal, just gotta find some metric brake lines. So, while under there looking around, and reading through previous posts, I notice that her PO must have redone all the brake lines (they looked fine, parts of it were painted too.. ). So looking at my car, there's nothing special about the system, one line from the master to the front left and right, and one line goes back, gets split by a T block then to the two rear calipers. Reading around, and looking in the book, there's supposed to be compensators and things in the system...
Thus my question is, should I put those things back in the system? Clearly it ran fine without such things, but is it a good idea to get them back in the system? When she's running (most the time .. =] ) I like to use her as my daily driver; in the summers. Nothing special, etc, I don't do any road racing with her or anything.
And a thanx to all the people on here, always good info to get the spider back on the road.
Brakes and compensators and things
Re: Brakes and compensators and things
If you dont have a brake compensator, not a big deal and definitely not worth getting one. All should be fine.
