Cooling system pressure tester
does anyone know of a specific brand of tester that will fit an early Spider's radiator cap? I rented one from the local parts store and it would not create a seal. My system definitely has a leak(s) and I would love to track it down once and for all!

I personally don't have one but my mechanic uses an older Craftsman set that has an adapter that fits the long neck on my 68 rad.georgeramos wrote:does anyone know of a specific brand of tester that will fit an early Spider's radiator cap?
Maybe the newer ones also fit?

Re: Cooling system pressure tester
HMMM, does it have the plastic adapters like the one on Sears site? if so i will try to track one down. i rented one from a different parts store and it also did not work. i am SUPREMELY frustrated with my Spiders cooling system. it has NEVER NEVER worked properly and the radiator shop that seems to be our only local shop of its kind charged me a small fortune and it still does not work properly. I know it is a simple system and i think my problem is simple too (a small leak somewhere) but now i need a tester that will work so i can try to diagnose it myself instead of paying for the same job twice!
Thanks Dan

Pretty sure his adapters are rubber.georgeramos wrote:does it have the plastic adapters like the one on Sears site?
Nice thing about Sears, if the tool sucks, they usually take it back.
