Orientation of 2-Way Valve?

I could swear that when I took this off, the flange on this 2-way valve (circled in the pic, #4) was oriented back towards the tank, so the body of the valve faces the front of the car, but now I am putting it all back together with new lines and the diagram seems to show the flange oriented towards the front. And I am damned if I can remember, should have taken pictures Anybody quickly verify which way this is supposed to face, flange back towards the tank or towards the front of the car?

The flange is oriented back toward the tank. There is an old post here that mistakenly shows it backward.
Personally I don't see what the big deal is, blowing through both ends of a new one has the same resistance.

Thanks! Mine was partially blocked with a bunch of grey pasty gunk. I cleaned it with solvent and WD40 and flushed it out and it only flows easily in one direction, so I think I either need to clean it again or get a new one!
