1977 one page wiring diagram

Post by akershaw »

I'm hugely impressed by Brad Artigue's wiring diagrams but would really like a copy of the one page diagram from the 1977 Spider owners handbook. Any chance someone could take a decent picture of one and post it? I'm in the middle of a bare metal restoration and it would be handy to have an overview that I can blow up and put on my garage wall. Many thanks in advance. Alex

I've finally found an original handbook with complete wiring diagram. Had the diagram scanned. Attached here for the benefit of others. Mostly accurate as far as I can tell, although I've noticed that it includes an oil pressure gauge and sender, when in fact my car only has an indicator lamp (with its sender). If you right click the image you should be able to download it in high definition.

I agree, nice! And for those interested, note that Midwest-Bayless has wiring diagram manuals on sale for model years 1975 and later. I haven't seen them firsthand, but at $14.79, hard to see how you could go wrong.

Thanks for posting. I really like the clarity when the diagram is enlarged. It took me a bit to figure out how the sections of the diagram come together. Example follow the driver side headlight to the steering column switch. Once I figured it out all is well.

Early Clymer publications of the "Fiat 124" shop manual contain wire diagrams in the back of the book after the index. I have a copy of one for 1967-1980. These diagrams are pretty good, some are single page for entire car some are not. I checked and the 1977 Spider is multiple pages. I have tried to enlarge a few but the copier I have quickly blurs the lettering. I think the paper the diagrams are printed on contributes to the poor quality when enlarged.
I was pleasantly surprised by how clear the enlarged diagram is on my computer. Thanks again.
