Thanks and Goodbye from Maxdog

HI
"Kermit" my British Racing Green [ Original Fiat colour !!]1979 Fiat 124S has been sold to the first person who saw him
. OLd Age has caught up with me , fiddling with old cars has lost its attraction .
In a life time of old cars ; XKE jaguar . Rover P6 V8 sedan , Jensen Interceptor and a zoo full of old English motors ; I have really enjoyed my Fiat 124 .The combination of : a beautiful body with a great DOHC engine , 5 speeds , all round disc brakes etc produced a long lived icon .
I have appreciated the advice , help and friendship of the Fiat Spider Forum . I will miss you all
Happy Trails

Hey Maxdog,
Don’t feel like you need to leave just because you sold it. We like having you here.
Shucks, I sold my ‘83 Pininfarina years ago and look what I still do! :D

Thanks for your support.

+1 from me, I am sure we can continue to learn from your comments and knowledge and experience.

Besides it costs you nothing and look at all the entertainment you will get watching all the people rediscover what you already found out.

Lurk, man, lurk and heckle as you see fit.

cheers
Dinghyguy

PS if your car was not on the complete other side of the continent i would have certainly considered buying it.....

+1 on what was said above, and just think, you can continue to vicariously live out the trials and tribulations of Fiat ownership just by participating in this forum, without having to get your hands dirty. A win-win situation!
