1972 124 Wagon arrived!

The 72 124 wagon I imported from Italy is finally here! This is Ruby and she will be my wife Rachael's "daily" driver. I bought a 2 liter (fresh rebuild) and an auto trans (being rebuilt) as that was the plan...but

the car is in amazing driver condition. has no rust that Ive found yet and runs like a champ. The motor was found NEW by the po several years ago and has only a few hundred miles on it (according to him...")

It definitely is an immaculate clean motor so it doesn't seem too far fetched. My new thought is to figure out all the parts needed to do the AT swap WITH the pushrod that's in the car. Let Rach drive it that way for now to see if it works for her. Her mom lives 2 hours away over the coast range so we make that trip a couple of times a month. This summer Ill be alternating it with my Spider and Fulvia so the wagon won't have to make the trip every time.

If the 1.2 works out the 2 liter might make its way into my Spider...

stay tuned
