picked up a used switch from mark. the harness that ran to the starter was in pretty bad shape. it was burned , cracked and taped over. i took it out, replaced the red wire that plugs into the starter, and extended it. the new starter requires a short jumper wire to extend the red wire so that it reaches the plug in the new starter. i just replaced the whole wire instead. crimped it, then sautered it and covered the ends with shrink tubing.
the car used to crank slow, usually i had to bump the key several times to fire it up, due to the higher compression my motor has. with the new starter it rolls right over, well worth the money i spent. just my opinion.
