Hi - I’m beginning to lay down butyl sound deadening on my floorboards and trunk areas. Are there any holes that should not be covered up? The round holes with plugs don’t seem to have any purpose. But should the small triangle shaped fingers protruding from underneath be left uncovered? Are any needed for drainage? Anything else that I should consider when doing this?
Thanks

Re: Sound deadening
Technically speaking, I believe the triangle ones are for drainage. But when I installed sound deadening in mine, I covered them up. I figured if there’s ever a time that I need drainage, I’m the one who knows more or less where the big round ones are…
