Getting Moving Permit for "Smog Repairs"

Hey guys I need to take my Spider over to So Cal Mark's shop in Upland but the DMV will only issue me a 1 day moving permit to get it smog checked..the problem...no emissions equipment hehe. She would have to fail in order to get a 30 day (which i'm sure she'll have no trouble in doing ) but the question is will they red flag my car or something because the equipment has been tampered with? or will they just treat it as fail, needs retest? I can just see the looks on the guys face when he sees the big empty void where the anti smog junk is suppose to be you have no equipment?!? ..this guy has no equipment! oh my goodness this guy has no equipment!! he's polluting the air every second the engine is on...

other than trailering it, you may have to get the one day permit, have it tested then return for the 30 day deal. It will just fail the test, it won't get impounded or seized

thats good to know ill have her in your shop in to time! I'll probably call to make an appointment soon to bring her in on April 11. Much appreciated Mark!
