Cars that drive by you fast? To race?

Someone else mentioned it earlier about cars that seem to drive by you fast... I've come across even moms in their soccer mobiles try to race me at the light, they must think I have some Ferrari or something, other cars like BMW's and Nissan 300Z's also try to race me or come up to me and then hit the gas. I had another guy in a truck while I was cruising @45mph he slowed down stood by me for about 1/2 minute then pressed the gas only to be left behind in his fumes... don't mind as I'm not stupid enough to wrap my car around some post or worse another car to prove how fast my car is...

Anyone else had this done to them?

I expect that mentality comes from the other driver simply wanting to be in front of the pack. They don't care what kind of car you have they just want to pass.

No... this is different, it has nothing to do with passing me... we're talking driving in a 35mph zone and they still want to race or drive by me at high speeds as if they're mad I'm driving this Spider... not sure if it's envy or what but it's clearly visible.

I usually get that while I'm on the motorcycle. Everyone thinks your a Stunter or willing to race on the freeway.

can't say that i've had the experience... cuz in my spider, i am traveling as fast as the speed of a stolen vehicle.

See I don't do that, I keep to myself when I'm driving unless a cutie happens to look my way or say something. I can see from my rear view mirror either nods of approval or dislike because they're driving a minivan or truck while you're in this cool car... tell me you don't get that...

I do get the kids (they love this car) whistling or saying 'cool car', then I get the others that think you're some rich guy or snob.

I usually rev the motor to get the exhaust roaring then let them take off like a bat out of hell feeling very superior. Just doing my little part to help raise the self esteem of the pathetic.

A quick chrip of the exhaust and then put the foot down, always better to be in front of the pack ( and looking ahead for police radar or mobile speed cameras )

Hmmm maybe you drive so slow that your pissin' everyone off and they are flooring it to get around or away from you. Todays cars take of pretty darn fast and nobody wants to be behind the sunday driver. Maybe thats it.

I find that most people think an old car will be slow, then the light turns green and I'm across the intersection before they wake up
