new carpet in

In the interest of posting something that went kinda right, I got some new black carpet in. Much more work than I thought, given that these panels are all pre cut.
Most of my work involved getting the console out, refurbed, and put back in, and replacing all the factory padding and insulation, and finally, doing some trim work to get the seat belts back in.
As a reward, she took me to the bank today to make a deposit, so I can buy her more stuff.
Ran mostly great, especially considering it was 5 degrees Fahrenheit.
New heater core working and not leaking, but now the fan which I tested prior to installation, is not working. Must be a wiring issue at the new switch- it worked fine before I put it back together. So off with the console again to address that.


and at the bank. I don't care of we have record snowfall- well over 100 inches- it's March and I'm driving my fiat.

Talk to me about your seat upholstery. I've got to make my decision soon. I actually think I want a fabric. Breathes, stays cooler, grippy.

this upholstery was done by the original owner and it's in good condition, but I'm thinking the driver side could benefit by some new foam and maybe a little structural repair.
I like that it is fabric for temperature, grip, and comfort. I don't like that it makes the car seats look a little like living room furniture.
But he's got the fabric on the door panels and the package shelf too. I think with the black carpet in, the seats look a little less living roomy to me.
Sorry, but I don't know anything about where the material was sourced or how the job was done. that's all i got.

got my seat belts in and functioning, mostly. new today is a set of Fiat custom floor mats, which have really tied the thing together nicely. The red patches are sewn on. These were expensive at $115 but the quality and fit are excellent.
I'm working on drivers map pocket and radio console. Can feel Spring coming.
