Converting Clock to Battery

Post by ThatDudeRalph »

Has anyone ever done a conversion of the dash clock to no longer run off the power of the car but rather just a typical battery?

I disconnect my battery when not in use and my clock is always wrong. I know this is probably sacrosanct but I'd rather just put a cheap quartz movement in from a little clock, and make a system to pop the whole thing in and out easy so I can just change the battery every couple years.

Thanks

Oooh, I've been thinking of doing the same thing. Looking forward to replies to this.
