1979 Spider 2000
Took out my mechanical fuel pump and replaced with an electric fuel pump. When I was putting a plate over the mechanical fuel pump location I sparked the alternator (yes, like an idiot I hadn't disconnected the battery).
I disconnected the battery after sparking the alternator and finished installing the plate cover.
Reconnected the battery and tried to start the car and nothing from the starter. No turn over and no click. The dash lights come on and the headlights work but nothing from the starter.
Any thoughts?

I think in the area you were working there are 2 single bullet connectors. One connector has brown wires, it brings power to the ignition switch. the other connector has red wires it brings "start" power to the starter solenoid, when the key is in the "start" position. If either on of these connectors is corroded or disconnected it could cause your issue.
