a competent auto paint supply store will be able to match it with the code you have ... how ever your original paint may have faded and the original may not match .... but taking the car in they can match the color also
Thanks, Holshot! The paintscratch site does exactly what I need. Looks like my 856/f color code is for the original Bronze color that the car was from the factory, then it was painted Green at one point, and now it is currently some sort of a Scarlet variety. So I need to use their custom matching service. Prices seem reasonable, and I will send them the gas fill cover when I get this sorted out.

Hey Pete, glad I could help! I actually just ordered some myself this past Thursday to detail my trunk since I've got the tank pulled. The previous owner didn't believe in strapping down the jack and that side of the trunk has some scratches I want to touch up and behing the battery from a possible battery leakage. Good luck with your project and I hope it all turns out well for you!
