A couple things, The boot pictured is an old one that I dyed black.I have a new ,really nice one from IAP that I have yet to install.I want to make sure the edge of my tan top doesnt peek out from under the corners.I may go the baltobernie route, and let an upholstery shop fit it and even install snaps as needed
My daughter dyed the raised accent areas on the door panel ,and the strip in the armrest, to add some black to the doors.I like it and will probably keep the two-tone look.I could also change to black door panels later.
The early model seats bolt right up to the later tracks but thats where the similarity ends. They definitely have a different shape, bolstering, and linkage. That caused a couple issues.First, they early seats have a 'lug' that sticks out on each side that locks the seatback into place. The late model seats lock internally.I had to grind the lugs down about 1/8" to keep it from dragging on the carpet on the tranny hump.
I had to have Brady make new Bradybelter seat belt guides. The ones(that fit perfect) from my original seats, stuck out too far and rubbed the boot cover when the seats were all the way back.I had them chrome powder coated by a friend. He is starting a business and will work cheap,if anyone needs some powder coating done. What do you think?
