Hi guys and Gals!
Im in the process now of working out the best way for water to run clear of the inner body panels
and sills when the roof is up.
Has anybody made something that works well and drains the water off and away from the car?
Any help and assistance would be very much appreciated.

Charles, where are you getting water in from? Mine's been caught in the rain a time or two in it's life. Of course, it's usually while I'm driving with the top down.

Not sure where your getting water infiltration from, but I continued a solution that the previous owner implemented.
Some of the water that hits the windshield, cowel panel, hood, and fenders gets directed to the joint between the fender and cowel panel. The joint runs from the corners of the hood to the windshield mounting location.
Normally water would be forced thru and onto the winshield mounting bolts, it would then travel down the door jamb to the sill plates, and if you have good door seals the water will stay out of the cabin. The problem is that the water is directed onto the winshield mounting and frame, in turn the winshield support structure starts to rust internally.
If you open the door and look at the area in question you can see up under the dash. Ther is a small lip in the sheet metal that "should" divert the water to the door jamb. In the event that a large volume of water were to pass by this point there is a likelyhood that the water would overflow and enter into the cabin under the dash right onto the wiring.
The previous owner had removed the cowel panel and installed plumbers putty in the corners so that water could not travel past the windhield mounts and onto the sill. If you look closely at a new winshield gasket there is an extra flap of rubber at the lower corners that would seal the area in question. Of all the fiat spiders I've seen none had this flap.

Basically Im at the stage of rebuilding my Fiat 124 and too save time in the long run Im wanting to do all those niggly bits that may cause me problems further down the line. The drainage is one of those issues that concerns me.
The area that I wasnt to sure about and the one in question is the rubber run off points at the top back of the door frames where the roof drops down. The water channels that are also at the base umnder the rear seats that then go into the sills. Im sorry I dont know the correct wording for this.
