Also does anyone know where I can get the tan color interior paint that would match my 83 Spider?
Thanks,

I have an 83 Spider and was wondering whether I should try one of these caps that sell for 100+. My other option is to remove the center console and give it a fresh coat of interior paint or buy a replacement console at $400+. The console is in good shape but could use a touch up. Is removing it a big pain, I imagine not.

You'll have to check around a bit (call a few upholstery shops that are local to you) to find someone who can match the original color. You'll need to take in sample of the color to get a good match. If your headrests look good in color you can use them. I've used the SEM vinyl paint on my interior and am EXTREMELY happy with the result.
