Brake warning light lit only on left-hand turns
Brake warning light lit only on left-hand turns
I have a 80 spider 2000. The brake light on the dash comes on only when a left-hand turn is almost completed and stays on a few seconds later. I recently replaced the brake booster. Is this an improper bleeding of the brake system? Fluid is at normal level.
Re: Brake warning light lit only on left-hand turns
do you still have that float in the fluid reservoir? the one that does double duty as the brake fluid reservoir cap? disconnect one of those leads from that cap, and make your left hand turn again. does the light stay off?
or, is your hand brake handle not resting on the center of that switch beneath it? so that, on a hard turn left the body tweaks just enough to make that handle fall off the switch and make the light go on?
hmm...

Wow! Thought I was the only one!!! I have the same issue but I am almost positive it is the handbrake not resting properly on the button in the center during hard lefthand turns. The brake is definitely not engaging so I am not worried about it at all. Plus I like to mess with people. . . my friend was in the car a few days ago and noticed it and asked why it was turning on during a tight turn. I took the next turn even tighter and told it is the car's computer telling me to hit the brakes so it doesnt spin hahaha.
Goodluck though and let me know what you find because I dont care enough to figure it out
