I hear a clicking noise when I push my brake pedal...it is noticeable
as the pedal nears the floor. If I keep pushing I can make it click twice.
I replaced the Master and now I'm thinking this noise could be the calibers.
any brake noise is worth investigating. It could be merely that the pad tension springs are worn out, or missing. But it could be a loose caliper or caliper bracket
It seems as if it is coming from under the drivers seat area...though
it is hard to tell.
I don't trust the car in a panic stop as it seems
it just doesn't have the stopping power. It seems the pedal
goes to the floor (or close to it) before she is completely stopped.
I have thought about just replacing all calipers to be safe and will probably do that soon.
a good rule of thumb on the brake pedal is that with the pedal pushed down to the end of its' travel, you should be able to put your other foot under the pedal. If you can't fit your foot under the pedal, there is too much travel
15? still you should be able to fit your toe under the pedal. If you replaced the master there may still be air in the system. Pads and rotors shouldn't affect pedal height.
From your description it appears that bleeding the entire system might be in order. Start with the furthest wheel from the master (Right Rear?) and work forward.
