HBO is airing a documentary about Gianni Agnelli tonight He spent his Fiat money on wine, women, and song. My kind of guy.
I ordered the "PininFarina Book" for Christmas. Got it the other day. It came in a big box and didn't think it was the book. but, the book is huge. 12'X15' x 1 1/2 deep. It's wrapped in plastic. so no peeking until Christmas. Can't wait to see what it says about our cars.
WSJ had an article on this today's paper, but they slanted it to sound as if the family had nothing to do with running any of the businesses. This is not true. Not sure why they did this. There are many documentaries on the family on youtube done over the years that are very informative about both the Fiat brand and the family. The loss of his son was particularly tragic.

I watched the HBO documentary last night and I liked it but it was not as informative as I was expecting. Not up to the standard of other HBO documentary's. The 70's and the communist party were not kind to Fiat and it's a miracle he saved it from ruin. Nothing about the cars imported to the US.
I was surprised that Fiat partnered with Kaddafi to save the company and gave him a 10% stake in it. The only Also, image I saw of a 124 was in a crash test. No wonder our cars can act like little terrorists when they decide to act up. I never knew that he had an affair with Jackie Kennedy. Probably, one of the most desirable women in the world at that time.
