What is this clip for?

Post by sjmst »

I accidentally dislodged the clip on the cowl panel you see below. Photo 1 shows where it is missing, and photo 2 shows it in place. I was able to remove a few screws and reach in and get it. What does this clip hold in place? Is it necessary to rush to take off the panel to put it back in place? :? Thanks

It helps hold the plastic cowl grill in place. One on each side along with the 3 rubber screws (for lack of a better term).

The cowl comes off pretty easy and if you removed enough screws to reach in and retrieve it, you probably had enough off to remove the cowl entirely and put the clip back in place.

Ahh. I thought maybe it was for those plastic vents. Though the ones without the clips seem as stable as the ones with the clip. OK, THANKS, seems no rush to take the cowl off!
