I am now kissing you on the cheek, and hope you have heeded my advice about other modifications necessary to run this carb in a street application.
Now I use a weber 34 ADF, I also have a set of 2x40 IDF.

I like the best 34 ADF, it seems as if it provides the same power as the IDF's up to about 5000 rpm, and it's in this area runs most of the time.

Sometimes I miss a little bit more in the top, can a weber 38 give me that?

Engine:
2 Liter

Cam - 285V-street performance, power range 2800-6800, Slightly lumpy idle. Spec-285 duration, 385 lift

Exhaust system is a 2 1 / 4 "high flow system

What will be the best carburetor for this setup?

You didn't mention that you already have a set of IDFs. They give the most power, as you've already discovered. Once properly synchronized, they shouldn't be any more maintenance than a single. Plus, they sound great!

Thanks for all the great info guys!
For the time being I have picked up a 32DATRA and what a difference that has made. It may not be a direct bolt on, but it didnt take that much effort either.
Over the winter I'll have to save my pennies and find a more suitable replacement or just convert it over to fuel injection and be done with it.

Again all of the input was very much appreciated.

I know that the IDFs are good :-)

But, what are the best single carburetor one can use? For best performance

well there are a LOT of opionions in this thread, and they'd all be good.

so sell me your IDF's and try something else?!?!?! :mrgreen:

Or I'll trade plus cash for my 32adfa?
I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!
