I've got a 124 that's got the side moulding like in the red fiat pic at the top of the forum...
How hard is it to remove that? is it metal stud mounted? adhesive? not really look hard yet at pulling it off.

dont know specifically with Fiat, but most of that generation were stick-ons. try rolling down the window and with a putty knife create a space between the glass and the rubber wiper. shine a flashlight down there and see if you can see any screws going thru the door.

Most of the newer stuff is stick on, (double sided tape). Alot of the old mouldings were an aluminum piece with a rubber insert, the rubber can be removed revealing the screws or rivets that retain it. It should be fairly easy to tell which style you have. If it's the self adhesive style, use fishing line to "saw" thru the adhesive, then use a stripe off wheel:

Mine were riveted to the car so i had to remove them and fill the holes. Unfortunatly after they were removed there was a number of ripples in the metal where the rails were mounted so i ended up refinishing the entire door. Only 3 more weeks and the car will be back from the body and paint shop
